Our History
Bandster Events' story began with a desire to solve a frustrating problem and a passion for innovation. Our co-founder, Nektarios Cassar, a musician in the entertainment industry, faced the challenges of booking bands firsthand. Coordinating multiple colleagues and managing availability was time-consuming and inefficient.
Determined to find a better solution, Nektarios created Bandster the app—a revolutionary multi-scheduling tool for performers. Partnering with Natalia Demetriou, an entrepreneurial expert in event planning, they founded Bandster Events and, together with software architect Petros Petrou, launched the app in December 2016. Their innovative idea quickly gained traction, winning prizes and capturing attention across Copenhagen, Lisbon, Helsinki, Berlin, Hyderabad, and Nicosia, with local media taking notice.
Users from over 30 countries embraced the app, and their feedback fueled Bandster’s expansion. Recognizing the need for job opportunities in the entertainment sector, the founders adapted Bandster Events into an online platform that connects professionals with work opportunities.
As Bandster Events grew in popularity, clients hosting corporate parties, weddings, and private events discovered its personalized service, transparency, and convenience. They expressed a need for a more comprehensive event planning tool—encompassing venues, suppliers, wedding planners, and full event management.
In response, Bandster Events evolved, offering an extensive range of venues, event suppliers, entertainment options, and event management services. The platform quickly became renowned for its excellence, with over 1000 trusted professionals in Cyprus.
Today, Bandster Events stands as a trusted event management company and Destination Management Company (DMC), serving couples seeking the perfect wedding in Cyprus, as well as multinational companies hosting corporate gatherings on the island. Our commitment to exceptional service and unforgettable experiences has made us a leader in the industry.
